It has been some time since our last prayer update, so we've got a lot to give praises for and lots to pray for! But first we want to emphasize our thanks to the Lord for what He has done and for who He is. The Psalm above describes our feelings of how He has been meeting our needs and teaching us something new every day. We will give thanks forever for His mercy, forgiveness, provision, and never ending love! So first, the praise:
Pray for continued training and perseverance. This time of raising support has been a great time of learning and training, more than we could have ever anticipated. We feel that we are being more and more prepared to minister in Honduras. Pray we would press on and run our race to win it!
With "training" comes testing, so with the above praise please pray for unity through the Holy Spirit within our family. We have realized that is where the enemy will strike first in order to divide us.
Pray for opportunities to share what God is doing (churches, church groups, and with individuals). We don't have a "built-in" church network within our mission organization, so we ask that you pray that doors would open to speak to other churches and groups about our ministry. We are excited about getting to Honduras to begin our ministry there, but need to have more people involved prayerfully and financially. We know that sharing with others in what we are experiencing stretches their faith as well and are honored and humbled by the fact that God is using us in this way.
Pray for wisdom and discernment for our next steps. We want to follow the Lord and do His will, not lead and do our will (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 115:1). Pray we would be sensitive to the Spirit's leading.
Last but not least, please pray for the hearts of those we will cross paths with here and in Honduras. This is the focus of our entire ministry, calling and commissioning (Mt. 28:19-20). Pray for those we will minister to here in our daily walk, in churches we speak in, Sunday Schools at Salem Evangelical, and for Hondurans and Garifuna who we will meet in the future. Pray they would be receptive to the Spirit's leading and prompting and that they would step out in faith to receive Jesus and/or to renew their relationship with Him.
We ask all these things according to His will. We thank you for your prayers and support!
"My God will meet all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus." –Phil. 4:19
