October newsletter & update

Hi all! With the craziness of adjusting to a new culture, learning Spanish, doing ministry, and just trying to live a "normal" life as a family (normal, what is that?!), time slips away and it's already October! A lot has happened in the almost 2 months that we have been here in Honduras and we tried to capture some of this in our latest newsletter. Download it here in PDF file, or check it out on our Newsletter page.

This past week has been a little crazy with the whole family (including the rest of our team) getting a touch of the flu, hitting a plateau with Spanish (brain block!), Garret's 7th birthday on Oct. 1st, and our mission organization president spending some quality time with us. Please pray for us during this time as we are getting through some of these things and dealing with a bit of culture "frustration". We need to have our hearts in the right place and try to ignore the cultural things that drive us crazy sometimes, and focus on why we are here. Honduras is an interesting country with great needs and these needs permeate the culture and the way things are done. So please pray for us about all these things! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We miss everyone and thank you for your on-going prayer and support! We cannot explain how thankful we are!

In His mighty grip,
Corey, Kirsten, Gavin & Garret
