When God makes it rain, it pours

Wow. We are in total amazement at what God has been doing. Since we have submitted our applications to CAM we have seen Him working. It is the obedience to move forward, the faith to trust Him with all that we have, are, and will be. He will meet our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. It is difficult for us to even express in words how great our God is.

Well, last week we received confirmation from CAM that our applications were accepted and they want us to attend orientation at their headquarters in Dallas, TX. We were anticipating going in November and between now and then going back down to Honduras to explore and see the ministry there. But God is greater than our plans. He knows the plans He has for us and will make them known only if we are willing to hear Him and obey. Instead of November, CAM asked if we could attend their June orientation. Wow! That's one month away! Of course this brought excitement, anticipation, and concern all at once. My personal concern was "is this God's will?" What about seeing the actual ministry in Honduras? We have talked about it with the missionaries and leadership there, but will it truly fit with our gifting? We got to work asking those people who have been close to us and our supporters if this might be a possibility. The answer was a simple "yes!" Our transportation to Dallas has been provided for by one of these wonderful people. We are so grateful! The Lord was and is clearly saying to us that HE will be glorified and HE will fulfill what HE has planned for our lives, ONLY if we are willing to obey and do what HE asks of us. We cannot look at all that has happened over the past year and ask Jesus to give us another sign as the unbelieving did! His answers to our prayers and grace is sufficient and His timing is perfect.

So the next step for us will be to attend orientation from June 20-25 in Dallas, TX, and Lord willing, upon official acceptance by CAM (at the end of orientation) we will begin raising support. When the Lord allows, hopefully in the next few months, we will plan a "field trip" to Honduras to see the ministry there, make contacts, and begin to work out details of our future ministry there. Our hope and desire is to be on the mission field in June of 2011. That's optimistic, but God is able--all things are possible with Him.

In the meantime though, Jerusalem (Salem) is in need of a Savior, so we will continue our ministry here and establish new ones giving GLORY TO THE FATHER through it all. Pray and praise with us! Thank you for your prayers for they move the hand of GOD!
