Here are some of the things we will be involved in while we are there:
- Stay at the "compound" (which is actually a seminary and grounds with living quarters and meeting halls) in Siguatepeque.
- Meet the rest of our team, fellowship, travel and minister together.
- Visit current team ministry areas located throughout Honduras.
- Travel to La Ceiba and Tela on the north coast to meet pastors and other church and ministry leaders.
- Visit the Garifuna people along the northern coast.
- Attend a 2-3 day retreat with the entire team at the end of our trip. Several people from CAM Dallas will be there and this time will be a part of our on-going training.
- Lots of other stuff in-between, such as meeting up with other missionaries we have connected with in past trips to be an encouragement and plan future ministry together.
We need your help! As most of you know we are beginning our support raising process to be on the ground in Honduras full-time toward the end of next summer. This "pre-trip" is not part of our overall fund-raising, but is a separate process as we do not want to delay our getting to the field full-time.
Would you consider supporting us financially for this trip? Would you consider praying for us? We know that without prayer, nothing will happen. Prayer moves the hand of God. If we don't ask the LORD to provide it WILL NOT HAPPEN! So ultimately we are asking that you pray for us and pray that the resources would be provided for us to go. If you feel led after praying, please help us prepare to "go" full-time. Any amount helps. Help us to share Christ's love. Help us to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
If you would like to give to this trip, please write out check to Salem Evangelical Church, note that it is for Corey & Kirsten Wells (please not on the check), and drop it by the church. You can also send it to our home address (located on this page in the right column). If you are led to pray, please let us know! We would like to include you on future prayer concerns we will have (and we WILL have them!). Thank you to all who pray and support us in so many ways. To God be the glory! (Psalm 115:1)
