Since our last post here, a LOT has happened! It is hard to believe is has only been just over a month, but the Lord has done amazing things! To start off, in January we were so blessed by our church to be the "Missionaries of the Month". Our pastor made a pointed effort to get us in front of people and to be sure that our plans and progress to full-time missions was communicated to the masses. Our prayer cards were given to at least 600 people and we received several new financial supporters as well as over 100 prayer partners! Praise God! We are so excited about this because we KNOW what prayer can do. To have a prayer team like this is an answer to
our prayers because we know we need them! We were given many opportunities to be in front of both small and large groups and are so thankful for that. God is lifting up faithful supporters to get us to Honduras and keep us there!

The cabin before completion/move-in |
Also, about two weeks ago we moved again. Three months in our apartment and now we're out on a farm in NW Salem living in a quaint little cabin. It is incredible to see God work! This transition to the cabin will not only help us to raise our support more quickly by saving on rent and other expenses, but is helping us to transition to a farm setting (which is similar to where we will be in Honduras) and to smaller living quarters. At first I (Corey) wasn't sure how it would work out in such a small space (about 600 sq.ft.) with two busy little boys. But in the past few weeks I have realized that we, as a family, have grown closer and there are fewer distractions living in the country outside the city (plus the fact we have not had internet access in our cabin and need to drive up the road to check email and to post on this blog!). The family who owns the cabin and property live just up the hill and have two boys near our boys ages as well. Our boys spend a lot of time together with their new "brothers" exploring the country, collecting salamanders, playing "war" and just being boys. It has been an incredible blessing to us!
Thank you to those of you who continue to lift us up in prayer and to our financial supporters. We are so blessed by you and thank God for you! We are approaching 40% of our needed monthly support. This is a miracle considering we were below 30% at the end of December. If God is so leading you and you are not part of our team yet, we ask that you would pray about and consider becoming a partner with us. We want to make God's glory known among the people of Honduras and it takes a team to do it!
In Christ we stand,
Corey, Kirsten, Gavin & Garret
