We recently finished our March newsletter. Please download it, print it, and read it here!
We are excited about what God is doing and we have been blessed to share about what He is doing in our lives over the past few weeks. Last week we attended the NW Regional Conference of IFCA (association of independent churches) and met some incredible people with hearts to see the Gospel taken around the world. They have a solid focus on church planting which is the byproduct and result of all missions efforts. We're excited about the partnerships we made and future partnerships that will come as the result of the connections made through this conference.
We are still hopeful that we will be at 75% of our monthly support by June so we can go to intercultural training. God is able! This also means that I (Corey) will go onto "salary" with CAM and begin full-time ministry as a missionary (I am currently employed full-time at Corban University). But of course we are fine with not being there by then knowing it is God's will if we are not. If we are not at 75% by June, our next training opportunity begins in September.
A few important questions
We recently have had people interested in supporting us ask a few important questions. One was this: "When should we begin support?" The quick answer is, "As soon as you are able." Once someone begins giving, this increases our support percentage and puts us that much closer to being full-time and able to go to our training.
Another question is this: "If you still work full-time outside the mission, where does my monthly support go?" Prior to going full-time with the mission, all monthly support goes to our one-time support account. In addition to our monthly support, we need to raise one-time funds to pay for training, language school, airfare, visas, immunizations, import taxes, home setup (furniture, dishes, etc.) and several other items related to moving a family to a foreign country. As our monthly support comes in it builds up this one-time account so we don't have to raise as much of that amount once we go full-time.
Thank You!
It is you who give and pray who are making it possible for us to minister full-time in Honduras. We are very grateful for those of you who have been led to give monthly or one-time. If the Lord is leading you to be a part of our team financially, we thank you and the Lord and ask that you visit our Support page for options in partnering with us. If you are led to pray, we would love to hear from you that you are committing to do so and would like to include you on periodic prayer requests.
If you have questions about this ministry or would like to just chat, connect with us via email, Facebook, or phone (503-877-3701). Thank you!
