We've made it to pre-field training!

We arrived in North Carolina last Sunday after a week of traveling across the U.S. We are so excited to be here and look forward to what we will learn here in the next 3 months. We're living in a small 2 bedroom apartment (about 750 sq. Ft.), but feels quite spacious after living in the 500 sq. ft. cabin. CIT (Center for Intercultural Training) is situated in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in a very rural area and small town of Union Mills, NC. The campus is a collection of brick buildings within 10 acres or so. There's a dormitory, apartment complex (where we're living), admin building with our main classroom, cafeteria, and student center. There is also a pool which has been a blessing with the humidity and heat! Today we plan on resting and just spending time with our new friends.

The next few weeks will be intense as we research and prepare our 15 page paper on the Garifuna people. Gavin and Garret are learning along with us about new cultures and about how to work as a team. While we are in our class, they are in their class which is structured similar to ours, just more fun. :) Please pray that the Lord would continue to open our hearts to learn what He has for us while we're here. Also we have about 19% of our monthly support and 40% of our one-time support still to raise. Please pray the Lord would raise up those He wants involved to help take the Gospel to Honduras!

If you'd like to talk to us, we're still reachable by cell phone and Skype. We'd love to hear from you!
