The sleepy town of Kooskia, Idaho, was where we visited one of our supporting churches, Valley Bible Church. We love them! |
And that brings us to today and a catch up of the last 8 weeks. In our last post we mentioned our need for one-time funds to begin ministry in Honduras. We also mentioned a matching gift of $8,000 from a generous donor to help towards this need. We are happy to announce that ALL $8,000 was met! We still have a little to raise but should be covered by the time we are ready to fly out to Honduras.
We have set a fly out date of August 13th, so we will be in the U.S. until then. Although we will be around for a little longer this summer, in three short weeks we will be headed to Arizona to visit family and friends and then from there to Colorado to spend a week with our mission organization family. Our team from Honduras will be there as well, so it will be a great time to get to know each other better, go through training together, and enjoy the last days in the U.S. for some time. At the end of July we will return to Oregon and finish our packing! We plan to spend our last few weeks here with family and friends so would love to see you before we leave.
Please continue to pray for us during this time. We know you have been as it is only by your prayers and God's grace we can do what we are doing! With the added stress of packing and traveling, we need your prayers more than ever. Satan does not stop his schemes to derail those called by God, so please continue to lift us up before the Father. Thank you!
For Him and by His grace,
Corey, Kirsten, Gavin & Garret
rock on!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, there was nothing like that time right before we moved to the field. CHAOS. I thank God for it - but may I never have to repeat it! :)
